HR - Talent Management Specialist
This remote role is based in Costa Rica and only open to citizens and permanent residents of Costa Rica who do not need visa sponsorship.

We’re looking for a HR / Talent Management Specialist to play a pivotal role in developing and retaining top talent by designing and implementing strategies that enhance employee engagement, career development, and organizational growth. You will work with leadership to identify workforce needs, create learning opportunities, and foster a high-performing culture aligned with business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resources and talent strategy.
- Provides support and guidance to the Talent Management Lead, management, and employees when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, such as investigating allegations of wrong-doing and terminations.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits, researches and proposes competitive base and incentive programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations, recommended best practices, and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance and update as needed.
- Assess learning and development needs to implement and monitor training programs.
- Creates, develops, and implements programs to encourage and nurture a positive culture and work environment.
- Assists with payroll processing tasks, including ensuring accurate data entry, addressing employee queries, and collaborating with finance team to resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate onboarding process for new employees (Day 1).
- Administrative duties:
- Facility operations.
- Vendor management.
- Events support and planning.
- Team Travel Coordination.
- Asset Coordination and Management.
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of Costa Rica labor laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
